Crest Hotel Video Tour

In preparation for the 50th Anniversary of the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert, we headed North to shoot a promotional video showcasing the property.  This short video has helped the reservation agents up-sell guests to some of the unique suites, luxurious amenities, and fine dining options the hotel offers.

1 Bedroom Suite Video Tour

By offering potential guests a comprehensive tour of the unique 1 Bedroom Suites at Chateau Victoria, customers around the world are able to book accommodation knowing what they can expect upon check-in.  Providing a tour often results in increased conversion of online bookings.  This video has accumulated nearly 1,000 views in its first month of being uploaded to YouTube.  

50th Anniversay History Film

To celebrate the milestone anniversary, the Crest closed its doors to the public for one weekend and held a massive party for friends, family, patrons and business contacts who have supported the hotel over the years.  The Documentary film was a feature event shown to over 500 guests during the course of the evening– with rave reviews! The film is also featured on the Crest Hotel's website and has been gaining momentum on YouTube.

Westhills Real Estate Development, Victoria BC

Westhills is a master planned community that will include 5,000 homes and a commercial hub adjacent to Langford lake in Victoria, BC. In 2010, Spice Creative teamed up with Aclara Promotions and Heath Moffat Photography  to produce this promotional video used in their Show homes, and online.

DIR India: Mini-Documentary 
filmed in Chandigarh India

Spice Creative offers services pro-bono to a worthy NGO in Chandigarh, India after a visit to the slum to see first hand the difference DIR is making in the community.  Dr. Frederick Shaw has been self-funding this preventative healthcare project for the past seven years. His efforts have sparked tremendous change and improvements in lifestyle and conditions for thousands of people living in the area.

Shit Backpackers Say

Piggy-backing on the 'Shit people say' viral video trend, Spice Creative produced this for Shiralea Backpackers Resort in Koh Phangan, Thailand in January 2012.  Believe it or not, this little gem was produced on the fly with only an iPod touch and an iPad2 with iMovie.

Raised over $10,000 for charity in only 10 days on Facebook!

The run that started it all... So in 2010, I made a goal to run my first 1/2 marathon on October 10, 2010 (10-10-10).  I sought to raise $10,000 for the Women's Sexual Assault Centre in Vicotria BC... in less than a month, our efforts had generated over $20,000 in funding to help women who have survived sexual violence.

On Canada AM as a Winner of the Smartgirl challenge!

After raising over $20,000 for the Women's Sexual Assault Centre, Spice Creative's very own Christy Smith was selected as one of three winners of the Smartgirl Challenge.  Along with Olympic champion Jennifer Heil, Christy travelled to Rwanda, Africa to witness some of the Plan Canada projects in action and take in some of the breathtaking scenery and wildlife in the surrounding areas.

In August 2011 I was given a once in a lifetime experience to travel to Rwanda with Olympic Champoin Jennifer Heil as the Winner of Smartwater & Plan Canada's Because I am a Girl initiative's Smartgirl Challenge. I cannot express in words how incredible the experience was, but hopefully by watching this video, you can have a glimpse into some of the amazing people we met on our journey to Africa! Props to the incredibly talented Darcy Turrene for her remarkable cinematography skills!

Old Spice freshens their
marketing with viral video!

Old Spice launched a tremendously successful marketing campaign with a series of videos personifying the 'Old Spice Man' and asking their female consumers (who would often pick up grooming essentials for the man in their life) if their man 'smelled like an Old Spice Man.'  They knocked it out of the park had have had more than 100 million views on YouTube since the campaign launched.

Outpost.com Brand Recognition 

Instilling brand recognition for new businesses can be a challenge– particularly for businesses based online with no storefront. Check out how Outpost.com created buzz with their edgy commercials geared to get a reaction from viewers.
